If there was a number like 2,485.3778
The first number 2 would be in the thousands.
The number 4=hundreds

2=Thousands
4=Hundreds
8=Tens
5=Ones
.=Decimal
3=Tenths
7=Hundredths
7=Thousandths
8=Ten Thousands

Example:
It takes five thousand, four hundred, thirty-five and three hundred and eighty-
four thousandths cups of water to fill a swimming pool.
The decimal would be 5,435.384
